[/trx_title]

Helen Erasmus has years of experience when it comes to oral hygiene. Her extensive knowledge guarantees a satisfied visit to her chair.

But what makes a visit to Helen unique with regards to other Oral Hygienists? Three letters: EMS.

Having completed her Swiss Dental Academy professional training programme, Helen uses one of only two EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy machines in the area. Meaning that Helen has the tools to provide you with the most unique oral hygiene experience in the Helderberg basin.

Teeth are often stained by food, smoking, drinks like tea, coffee, red wine, or poor oral hygiene.

We aim to restore the whiteness of your natural teeth with tooth whitening. This can be done through either an in-office procedure or at home with custom made trays.

We do strongly recommend that our patients who come for an in-office procedure take a home kit with them to continue with the maintenance in the comfort of their own homes.

Air polishing is a method of removing plaque (biofilm) and stains from teeth using a mixture of air, powder, and water.  It is a very effective, yet gentle, method of cleaning teeth, implants, and soft tissue.

The cleaning process is quicker, more thorough, and gentler than tooth polishing with paste and rubber cups. Our machine removes stains on teeth and is very effective in cleaning fixed orthodontic appliances, implants, and bridges.

Dental Biofilm is the main etiological factor for caries, periodontal and peri-implant infections. Periodontitis can increase the risk of systematic diseases such as cardiovascular and respiratory disease, arthritis, and diabetes.

Guided Biofilm Therapy follows the European Federation of Periodontology’s recommendations on professional mechanical plaque removal and oral hygiene instructions for home care.
